Tam Tran

Surgical Tech Instructor

Hi, my name is Tam! I have been a Surgical Technologist for 22 years. I graduated from the Surgical Technology program at Spokane Community College in 2001 with an Associates in Applied Science Degree. I am also a certified Surgical Technologist.
For the last two years, I switched from working in the operating room to working as a Supervisor in Sterile Processing. Over the course of my career, I have worked at Holy Family Hospital, Spokane Eye Surgery Center, and now at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. In addition, I have also been a Surgical Technologist Instructor at Horizon Medical Institute since 2014.

I truly enjoy teaching. It is rewarding to see students go from students to Surgical Techs using the skills and knowledge they gained for themselves. As they start their career in the exciting world of surgery.
